Chassepierre hosts companies in artistic residence
In line with the ethos of our Festival, these residencies allow artistic creation to take place in a geographical and social context (rural environment).
They offer privileged moments of sharing between the companies and the people who inhabit the town, to experiment, repeat, feel, exchange and refine their creations…
The venues are made available to the artists FREE OF CHARGE with TAILOR-MADE PACKAGES according to the needs of each artist.
We also offer support for the production (analysis of the feasibility of the project, institutional information, advice on writing a document, organisation, promotion, etc.).
Meeting with the public
During their visit, the companies are invited to propose a work stage (exit from the residence) to experience their show in public, thus creating a rich exchange on all levels.
Schools, associations, inhabitants, take part in the creative process!
The artists in their creations offer you the chance to discover part of how they make their work and exchange views on social issues linked to their project. They can suggest on site workshops or in your own home.

In practice for artists
The residencies are open to professional companies from the circus and street arts sectors. We provide them with an OLD AGRICULTURAL WAREHOUSE in the village of Chassepierre, which has been refurbished as a reception area, and with meadows. Companies with tents are welcome.
Residence period and duration
Minimum 5 days,
preferably between the months of May and July.
Infrastructure
The warehouse has a surface area of 600m2 and a height of 8.4 metres, a concrete floor, toilets, a meeting room and a sound system. Hooks and spotlights are not available (solutions are possible).
Accomodation and catering
Accommodation and catering will be provided by the organiser after agreement between the company and the organiser.
